The Board of Directors and Staff of Grace Center for Maternal and Women’s Health are pleased to announce they are recipients of four grants to provide support and assistance to members of the Community.

The Mother’s Circle is a support group for pregnant women or postpartum mothers currently experiencing depression or anxiety symptoms.  This program is made available through a grant with the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.  The group provides support, compassion, and encouragement for women during this immense transition in their lives and offers tools to heal from perinatal mental health symptoms.

Secondly, through a grant from the town of Berlin, funding is provided for a support group for mothers suffering with addictions.  The group titled Women Empowering Women provides support, promotes prevention, and empowers these women to break the cycle of addiction and domestic violence which affects them and/or their family unit.

Project HOPE, provided through Qlarant in Easton, targets poverty stricken and ill-informed women facing pre-partum or postpartum depression as well as addiction. Holistic healing is characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account the mind, body, and spirit as well as environmental and social factors.

Through grant funding by Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, we are able to partner with pregnant or parenting 18 – 24 year-old mothers and fathers.  The aim is to plug them into the right resources to improve their job skills, further their education, and find a job.  This program is for residents of Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset Counties.

Each of these programs are offered free of charge.  To learn more, please contact Grace Center by calling Kay at (443) 513-4124.
